Fragmented: Days Become Weeks Become Months is a reflection on early 2026 in Minnesota, during a time of violent eruption circling our streets and skies. Neighbors on lockdown, keeping tabs on each other if we don’t return. Trust was broken; public life wasn’t safe. Parks and libraries were uncomfortably silent. Masked men in oversized, unmarked vehicles, tailing in twos. A forced fear spread throughout the city. Humanity was ignored. Our own government, our elected leaders, sanctioned, if not organized, an occupation of armed force against civilians.

This book work records those days, those weeks, those months. Through its broken imagery and shifting space, the structure resists a clear beginning or end. Pages fold back on themselves because history does—collapsing inward, revealing recurring patterns of exclusion and fear and control. The work offers no resolve or comfort.
